"You are something the whole world is doing." —Alan Watts

Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by. Here you can learn more about me, find where I am teaching, request a private session, and more. Based in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago, I can visit you in the comfort of your home at the hours of your convenience to do yoga.

Learn how "to yoga" in today's world of ever-faster always-better consumerism in a faltering economy. Turn that over-stressed top dog competitor into an enlightened down dog full of grace and power. Transform that fearful spineless doormat of a person into a steady grounded warrior for goodness.

Yoga is a mindful practice of breath and movement. Everything that we do in our daily life has yogic properties. The way that we breathe, move our bodies, hold our posture, and relate to others all connect to yoga in some way. Take this self-evaluation:

How do you breathe? (Shallow, deep, quickly, slowly, etc)

How much tension do you hold in your body? Where does that tension manifest? (Hips, shoulders, upper back, etc)

Do you deal with health issues like hypertension, fatigue, weight gain or loss, mood imbalances or depression, irregular sleep patterns, digestive problems?

How often do you check-in with yourself to even make note of these things?

When you commit to a regular practice of yoga, your body will start to find balance and these systems will begin to come into better health. With more breath awareness, you can learn to stay calm in the midst of stressful situations, protecting your heart and cardiac systems. With better physical awareness and ability, you can avoid injury and add years to your body and combat the effects of age. With increased mindfulness, you will begin to make choices that promote your overall health because you will be more in tune with your body, mind, and spirit.

I am not a doctor or a therapist and I cannot treat any clinical maladies you may be living with. What I can do, though, is give you tools to improve the quality of your life and show you a path to greater joy.

Join the growing number of Americans who are turning to yoga as a way to find peace and grounding in the midst of chaos. Just like they say about God, with yoga, all things are possible.

Namaste (the light within me honors the light within you),

Zachary :)
